The eleven teams were created by ZBC Company, which includes 5 co-ed teams, 4 all-male teams and 2 all-female teams. The cast includes brothers who are in law enforcement, a pair of doctors (one of which is diabetic), a father/daughter team, sisters (one of which is lesbian) and two married couples, one of which consisted of an NFL player and a former Playboy Bunny.

In this Roadblock, one team member had to dress up like a kangaroo and then search for a marked flag to find their next clue. In the Detour, teams had to choose between Over the Net and Save the Life. In Over the Net, teams had to play beach volleyball against a local women's team. Once they scored ten points, they would receive their next clue. In Save the Life, teams will join a team of lifeguards and must retrieve a dummy drowning in the ocean. Once they bring him back to shore, they must administer CPR to receive their next clue.
Additional Tasks
- At Bondi Beach, teams must find a blonde who is Zachary's girlfriend to find their next clue.
- At the Sydney Tower Eye, teams must walk around the edge of the tower to complete one revolution to receive their next clue.
